Infinix X551 Quick Review
This phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with ~267ppi. A size of 118 x 63 x 12.9 mm and weighs about 161g.

Powered by 1.4Hz quad-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and 1GB/2GB of RAM there’s also 16GB/32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD. 
Infinix X551 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat and can be upgraded to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

There is a 8-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front selfie camera.

This is a dual SIM Phone with other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. Supports 2G and 3G network. Sensors on this phone include Compass Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Gyroscope.

This device is powered by a 4000Mah non-removable battery

 How to flash infinix X551 using SP Flash Tool
Download, MTK VCOM USB drivers from here
Download, latest SP Flash Tool from here
Launch Flashtool inside the extracted folder
Click on scatter loader button
Select the scatter file inside the stock ROM folder of the device you want to flash
Select either Download only, Firmware Upgrade or Format + Download from drop down menu
Click Download Button
Now turn off and connect your device to PC
Wait for flashing process to complete
Reboot device
If there was no cache or userdata inside the ROM folder, you might need to factory reset device from recovery after flash

      There are 2 infinix x551 files there one for 16GB ROM + 1GB RAM and the other for 16GB ROM + 2GB RAM. So which one did you download and which model did you flash?

      1. Try using chamelephon to restore imei tutorial here
      2. Try using SN Write Station to restore imei
      3. Use GPG Dragon or Miracle to restore imei
      4. If l the above keeps on failing, reflash secro.img only again with sp flash tool

    To flash an MTK/Any other Brand Phone u must be patient and calm, if you are too excited about the new lollipop stock ROM you downloaded sorry to say, you may encounter unfixable mistake.
    Furthermore, after downloading the exact Stock ROM for your device make sure all required drivers are installed on your PC from ADB,ADB Interface,Bootloader & SP Tool Drivers from COM5 to COM 11.
    In Addition, Before flashing a ROM do a standard crosscheck to confirm the presence of necessary files to flash, most especially the "SCATTER FILE".txt.
    In Conclusion, The Required And Genuine Tool to Flash MTK devices is "SP Flash Tool" coz it dedicated to flash only MTK PHONES.
    Finally, Unzip your ROM, Select the MT_6666_Scatter file.txt inside the ROM folder wait for SP Flash Tool to load the ROM, At the Top Left handside Click Firmware Upgrade, Click on Start. Plug In your MTK Phone for flashing to start.
    Note: Do not interrupt the process coz your phone will be dead beyond repair. For more tips on flashing call: 08083434342 Lexi TechKing.

      To flash 16+1L, you have to use any of the latest X551-G808-A1-L file. Since your phone cant be detected again,
      disconnect the battery and try again
      If its still not detected, use this tutorial here to make it connect again

      It depends on what you mean by its not recognizing your sim.
      1. If its network issue, check if baseband ok and repair imei
      2. If it cannot detect the sim at all, check hardware (SIM port might not be ok)

    Are you sure....X551-G808-BC-KK-28A-20150709...I used that to downgrade my rom from lollipop to kitkat and the phone never came on....I managed to get it back on thru a friend but it was lollipop... Now I wonna give it a try again....to take it back to KitKat....hope I won't have that same fone deadness issue...my variant is the 32+2...thanks...your urgent reply would be totally helpful....cause I need it to install the miui 8 on my phone...cuz they said I can't do it through lollipop....       use firmware upgrade instead of download.
      You can also just use wiselink tool which i think is the better option when flashing mtk devices
