Common Errors on SP Flash Tool and some Solutions

For those who don't know, SP Flash Tool used to flash, format and read back MTK smart phones.

Here are some errors and solutions associated with SP Flash Tool hope you find them helpful.

 S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) 
This sometimes occurs when you are trying to flash a wrong ROM to your device. 
If you are sure that the firmware you are using is the exact one of your device, format the phone before you flash it.

 S_NOT_ENOUGH_STORAGE_SPACE (1011)
This error pops up when size of the firmware (ROM) you are trying to flash is bigger than the space given on the phone.
Try using another version of sp flash tool. Sometimes this error occurs when using a wrong ROM.

 S_UNSUPPORTED_OPERATION (1040)
The scatter file loaded is wrong. load the scatter file of your device.

 S_COM_PORT_OPEN_FAIL (1003)
This error is seen when the com ports on your PC are disabled.
Try enabling com ports in your BIOS

 S_COM_PORT_OPEN_FAIL (1013)
This error is just almost like the the 1003 error. Check if your com ports are available if not enable them. But most of the time using a new version of SP Flash Tool solves this problem.

S_UNSUPPORTED_VER_OF_DA (1022)
If you get this error, Use a newer version of SP Flash Tool.

 S_DA_EXT_RAM_ERROR (3001)
Connection problems. Check USB cord or use another port.

 S_DA_EMMC_FLASH_NOT_FOUND (3144) 
Wrong scatter file used

 S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008)
Change USB cord or
Use Battery to flash the phone or
Change the version of SP Flash Tool. (Older versions preferable)

 S_INVALID_DA_FILE (5002)
Use another version of SP Flash Tool

You can add more errors you encounter while using this tool and possibly the solution too.

      You did not specify the files for some of the partitions so the flash cannot proceed. Each partition must show where is the file to flash that partition, or you have to UNCHECK the box for that partition.

      Nope. If your phone is not detected by sp flash tool, its because vcom drivers are not properly installed

      The problem is that you are turning the phone on with the power button when you are starting the flash! Do not touch the power button.

      Select Firmware upgrade or Format + Download before u click download button.

      Note that there are 2 types of Tecno P9 (MT6589 and MT6582)
      SO the ROM you are using is not the one for you device.
      Use the matching ROM for ur device

      What phone is that? You can do a factory reset from recovery to support the rom reload, this should fix your problem or retry the flashing process but with format all + download this time around

    Hello ... Please help me to wake up my Infinity Hot 4 lite, I tried to do an update when trying to install the Naugat 7.0 on my Infinix Hot 4 Lite  and my phone not responds again. It seems that I have deleted everything in the the phone's memory because its was with the bad Rom, even the Preload and the boot Loader are deleted. Please help me to resolve this problem that affects me seriously....

    I Root my tecno CX air with sp flash after that I went and uninstall some of the systems software unfortunately my phone went off and came on but stuck boot mode with tecno logo on the screen. I went to twrp recovery mode I clear the cache and factory rest the phone but still not stuck on boot. The phone is not charging I went to Sp flash tools I flash the recovery images with download mode and when it completed the phone was not still stuck on Boot mode. I went and format the phone with the Sp flash tools after format completed I removed the cable from the phone and close the Sp flash tools I try to put the phone on but it was not come on again.I went I plug it to the computer I here the beep sound.
    I open Sp flash tools and choose download but this was the message I got showing me S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032). I went and download the firmware for the phone trying to format but the same message showing me the same message S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
    Sir my phone is not coming on I went I download Sp flash tools 3.0 the latest I open the Sp flash tools but when I went to the scatter files it do not want to load to the Sp flash tools.

    Please help, i have tecno droid p701, all of a sudden all apps keeps force closing, have clear app preferences, restart but still not working...
    I did factory reset but everything remain intact, nothing removed...
    I boot into recovery mode and did wipe data, still nothing removed, i downloaded the exact rom and flashed it which got flashed successfully with green mark..

    When I boot up the device, everything was still on it as it was before i flashed...

    Factory reset, data wipe in recovery and flashing doesn't do anything to the device...

    All files, wallpaper, settings etc doesn't get reseted no matter what i do...

    Need help pls...
