HOW TO FLASH CHINESE BASIC AND FEATURE PHONES USING MULTI PORT DOWNLOAD TOOL

MultiPortDownloadTool is a another tool from MediaTek used in flashing basic or feature phones. MultiPortDownloadTool can only flash mtk basic or feature phones with firmware containing .cfg file. It should not be confused with MTK SP Multi Port Download Tool.

 To flash this basic phones, follow the tutorial below

 Download an install drivers (feature phones driver) from here
Download MultiPortDownloadTool  v5.1340.00.00  or  v5.1444.00.00

 Launch MultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe
Click OK on the dialogue box that pops up with Fail
Click File and select Open Download Agent File
Select MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin

 Now Click Image Folder button
Navigate and select the folder containing the ROM.
Click OK on the window that appears with Load Files Success

Insert battery into the phone.
Open Device manager
Click on Ports (COM & LPT)
Connect the phone
Check and note the COM Port number that appears
Disconnect the phone

 Now on Multi Download Tool, tick COM Port number, USB & Select Download ROM and Format
Click Start button on the line with the COM Port number that the phone was connected to.
Connect phone
The process starts with a red bar followed by purple then yellow.
When you see DL OK with 100% yellow bar, the process is complete
You can now disconnect and reboot Phone

 If you have null/invalid imei after flashing your device, click here

    the com port number on device manager doesnt tally with the preset port numbers on the flasher...what do i do?

      Click on Options then select Set begin COM port.
      Enter the number you want the COM port to begin with and click apply

      You need to hold a boot key before connecting the phone to PC.
      For tecno use either the key above call end button or the middle button inside navigation pad.

    hello mr. i downloaded tecno t410 firmware from here, and i flashed it by multiport download tool, but the imei changed and when i insert sim card it detected iNVALID what shoud i dot to change that imei. THANKS DO MUCH
