DOWNLOAD TECNO W4 STOCK ROM / FIRMWARE


Note
Follow the instructions on how to flash the device carefully below
I will not take responsibility on whatever may happen to your device.

Make sure you are downloading the exact ROM of the device you want to flash because 
 flashing a wrong preloader, will make the device completely dead 
(can't power on, can't charge and will not be detected by a computer)

How to flash MTK devices using SP Flash Tool
Download, MTK VCOM USB drivers from here
Download, latest SP Flash Tool from here
Launch Flashtool inside the extracted folder
Click on scatter loader button
Select the scatter file inside the stock ROM folder of the device you want to flash
Select either Download only, Firmware Upgrade or Format + Download from drop down menu
Click Download Button
Now turn off and connect your device to PC
Wait for flashing process to complete
Reboot device
If there was no cache or userdata inside the ROM folder, you might need to factory reset device from recovery after flash
For a more detail guide with video and pictures on how to use SP Flash Tool, click here

You can also use other tools like WiseLink, SP Multiport Download, Miracle Box, Volcano, Infinity CMII etc to flash this device

If you encounter any error while flashing your device, click here and see if it solves your problem

    this file doesn't load completely on sp flash tool I've tried different version of sp flash tool even tried latest sp flash tool v5.1532 still get same error (image system checksum failed! checksum reference value in the config file. pleas re-fill correct checksum value and re-load scatter file again)

      Just delete the checksum.ini file inside the ROM folder

    i flashed this rom and now i cant install official updates. i am receiving this update W4-AW875A-A1-M-20160427, but unfortunately every time i try to install it, it just fails. can u upload another rom? apart from that, the rom is working perfecty. thanks in advance.

      Why not download the first above "20160603" . It's still a later version and it's guaranteed here. But confirm the current firmware version of the phone first.

    thenx 4 reply above/ I had earlier on downloaded the rom W4-AW875A-A1-M-20160328 AND used sp flash tool, voila the download progress came on, and the phone was flashed SUCCESSIVELY. however on booting a blank display and series of varying colours in bootloop are appearing on and then even after reflashing, The phone didn't fall nor hit anything, what could be wrong with it?

      Your screen display is not bad. The uboot image inside 20160328 does not match the one of your device.
      You will have to use the latest version to flash your phone.
      Download the one with 20160603 and flash your phone again

      So far now after flashing the preloader.bin and lk.bin what is the outcome, if it's persist. Do a firmware upgrade with spflash tool using the August version.

    hi av used all the roms both in firmware upgrade and download mode, all flashed successively. boot up is that of bootloop of various color display still. in this state the phone is able to take screenshots in the background which shows the welcome screen though u cant see on display

      Maybe the touch has gotten damaged when the phone was bricked, I don't think brick can make the touch not to respond

      I think the phone you have at hand is W4-AW875Ai and not the ones above. I don't have that file yet. If you see another phone with that build, create a backup and flash your phone.

    Sadly I took it to Carlcare and they tell me they should change the screen as the touch and screen are not separated and it cost me about 38 USD,
    I received it yesterday and it's working

      The weird thing is software version isn't which I lastly installed it's 160910V6 what made me doubting about does the old screen really need to exchange So anyone with the problem until now could kindly try that version and tell us if it's worked

    Flash tecno w4s with variant w4-aw875a1-m-160808v2. If yoU had earlier flashed it with wrong rom and seen the Unresponsive screen with Weird colours, the screen is damaged. Go to carlcare and Have it replaced.

    I was able to flash it successfully, no display problem and no touch problem. I replaced the 'boot' and 'lk' files of 20160603 with those of 20161010V10. And flashed with wiselink.

    Although, as the phone was before, the WiFi and hotspot still didn't work, if you have any solution please share. I've flashed the phone.

      So people still use this phone, I will help you. Go to to phone recovery to check the build number, make sure that the bike number is the same as the one you are using to flash.... Keep me posted
