Gionee M5 Quick Review
This phone comes with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels with ~267ppi. A size of 152.0 x 76.8 x 8.6 mm and weighs about 211g.
Powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor MediaTek MT6735 and 2GB of RAM there’s also 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD.
Gionee M5 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
There is a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front selfie camera.
This is a dual SIM Phone with other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB OTG. Supports 2G, 3G and 4G(only band 40 works) networks. Sensors on this phone include Compass Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Gyroscope.

How to flash gionee m5 using SP Flash Tool
Note
Follow the instructions on how to flash the device carefully below
I will not take responsibility on whatever may happen to your device.
Flash at your own risk..
Make sure you are downloading the exact ROM of the device you want to flash because
flashing a wrong preloader, will make the device completely dead
(can't power on, can't charge and will not be detected by a computer)
Download, latest SP Flash Tool from here
Launch Flashtool inside the extracted folder
Click on scatter loader button
Select the scatter file inside the stock ROM folder of the device you want to flash
Select either Download only, Firmware Upgrade or Format + Download from drop down menu
Click Download Button
Now turn off and connect your device to PC
Wait for flashing process to complete
Reboot device
If there was no cache or userdata inside the ROM folder, you might need to factory reset device from recovery after flash
You can also use other tools like WiseLink, SP Multiport Download, Miracle Box, Volcano, Infinity CMII etc to flash this device
Report if you cannot download any of these files.

My Gionee M5 software version is M5_0102_V6230. Can i flash any of the ones in your site. Thanks for your quick response.
ReplyDeleteU can use 6184. But make sure you backup the current firmware of ur device before u proceed.

As for me I don't know the software version, cos it got bricked, I can't check it out. Should I go ahead and flash any of the above rom?
