Xiaomi MI 4i Quick Review

Launched April 2015, Xiaomi MI 4i is preloaded with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with MIUI V6.0

This phone comes with a 5.0-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels with ~441ppi. A size of 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 130g.

Powered by Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 octa-Core processor (Four 1.7GHz Cortex A53 & Four 1.0GHz Cortex A57)  with Andreno 405 GPU. This device comes with either 16GB internal storage or 32GB internal storage & 2 GB RAM memory. No SDcard slot available.

There is a 13-megapixel primary camera with Dual LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front selfie camera.

This is a single SIM Phone with other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB OTG. Supports GSM, HSPA and LTE networks. Sensors on this phone include Finger print, Compass Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Gyroscope.

This device is powered by a 3120Mah non-removable battery

How to flash Xiaomi MI 4i using MI Flash Tool

If extension of ROM/firmware is .gz or .tar, rename to .tgz

Extract the firmware above using winrar or 7zip

Download and install MI Flash tool from here
Launch MI Flash Tool
Click Select button

Navigate and select firmware folder

Select clean all at the bottom of the flash tool (Flash_all.bat).
Put device into fastboot mode by pressing volume down + power button
Connect device to PC
Click Refresh so that tool will detect device
Click Flash and wait for process to complete
Phone will reboot after process is complete
