RomKingz: How to flash or upgrade Rockchip devices using Factory Tool

Rockchip Factory Tool is used to flash official firmware or ROM images on Rockchip based devices like android tv box, smart phones and tablets. Its small in size and easy to use. Below is a tutorial on how to flash/upgrade Rockchip based devices with official firmware using this tool.

Requirements

Download the latest version of Rockchip Factory Tool here

Download and install Rockchip usb drivers here

Download the Stock firmware of the device you want to flash.

Now extract the factory tool zip file and launch Factory tool inside extracted folder.

If your interface is in Chinese, you can click the world map button and select the last option for English language.

Click on Firmware button then navigate and select the .bin or .img firmware you downloaded.

Wait for some seconds for the firmware to be added into factory tool.

When the firmware is successfully added, you will see firmware and loader version with chip type displayed.

Now connect device to PC with USB cord while holding volume up button.

When the device is successfully connected, it will be appear as loader with id present at the side.

Now click on Run button for flashing/upgrade process to begin.
